To ensure a smooth transition into Chatterbox, we have an integration programme where new children and their parents are invited to attend 1 or more sessions per week for up to 2 weeks before their official start date. This means the child and parent become familiar with our routines and the new environment and it hopefully makes the big step of starting preschool a little easier!
You will be able to tell us all about your child and ask any questions. Together we will fill in various forms, and we will discuss how best to settle in your child.
Please bring the following in with you:
• Your child’s birth certificate.
After the official start date, parents are welcome to stay with their child for a few sessions until they and the Manager are happy that the child has settled.
Each child must be assigned a key person. Their role is to help ensure that every child’s care is tailored to meet their individual needs, to help the child become familiar with the setting, offer a settled relationship for the child and build a relationship with their parents.
